Finally some of the best advice I've ever received on this subject...just because the item you like is priced high in a department store doesn't mean that's the price you have to pay. In most cases if you ask for a manager and simply ask for a discount you would be surprised how many will do it. It never hurts to ask and it feel pretty good having that extra money in you pocket book.
